Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud and Others
Today I finally managed to find some time to pay tribute to a lesser-known hero of the 20th century, Oliver Stillingfleet Locker-Lampson. Oliver was the brother in-law of my cousin, Charlotte Christian Bruce who married Frederick Locker-Lampson. Charlotte was better known as Lady Locker.
While Oliver's was a name with which I was previously unfamiliar, I think everyone should know about him. He was involved in a plot to get Tzar Nicholas II out of Russia during the Revolution; he was asked to participate in the assassination of Gregori Rasputin; he was an ardent supporter of Winston Churchill in the 1930's as an MP (when Churchill was shunned by almost everyone) and he was responsible for the safe passage of Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud and many other everyday people of the Jewish faith escape the Nazi's in Europe in the 1930's and 1940's.
You can read about this amazing person on his new page on my website. I think it's incredible that more people don't know how this man was involved in, and helped shape the 20th century.
